The egg is the world.
Who would be born must first destroy a world."

Next departure to sail the labyrinth of the Patagonian channels is programmed for the 1st of May.
...Meet Christophe, the French man who destroyed all my plans and comfortable settled life here in Puerto Williams in exchange for his hard yet beautiful world which his boat L`Envol allowes to experience. I go for it and leave everything behind without regret. Life on the sea means no more life on my own, no more house building, no more morning runs, no more fire in the stove, no more candle light, no more friends and colleagues, no more job, no more winters, springs, summers nor falls of the Navarino island, no more Puerto Williams, no more Chilean residency and the benefits that come with it. I am in love and this new feeling is leading me away from everything I know into a completely another way of being. I am ready to find out who is the me of my tomorrow, and us of our tomorrow. Will the body handle, will the water carry, will the love prevail, where for at least next three months (before arriving to Puerto Natales) the maximum space between us can be only 7,7m long and 2,9 m wide as we travel in the wrong season in the wrong direction with an unexperienced crew? We will find out. And if we die, we die happy.

| Add to sell my ice-skates. Christophe encourages to sell rather than give away to have more money for the trip. This too is new. |

Dear Carina, (allow me to call you dear, since you have become so for me since I started knowing you a little through your blog), I've always wanted to tell you how much of an inspiration you are for me, with your courage, determination and faith in humanity but could never find the right words. But now I just want to tell you that there is a little person in a little lost place in southern Italy who really wishes you a lot of happiness in this new turning of your life. May life be always good with you and your new companion and may people like you be always around somewhere, somehow, to enlighten the world's days.
Silvia
Thank you, dear Silvia! Wonderful surprise to hear from you as all goodwishes are so very welcome now! Most likely there will be no more updates for quite a while, sorry for that. We estimate to arrive back into civilization around August. Till then you can get updates from Christophe`s blog: www.intothewind.fr where he wants to publish short messages through a satellite phone every week. How is your French? :) All the best, Carina
Perfect! My French is much better then my English :-) May the winds be with you....
You have no idea how I'm so happy for bothe of you !
Happy travel and happy life ! (is it the same may be?)
