I`ve been having a vacation in Mexico City. A break from the road and the On the Road me. Mexico is price-wise pretty much like Estonia (at least from what I remember Estonia used to be when I was there), so I could afford being a tourist for a few days. But I have to thank the Waycobah chief for it too. He gave me some money to pay for the taxi to the hotel...way too much!
I have been staying in a youth hostel, visited all the "must see" sites, like Teotihuacan pyramids, art museums etc. Tried all kinds of foods - I know now the difference between Nachos, Tacos and Tortillas. It was fun while it lasted - my little vacation. Now it is time to go back to the road.
It is a bit scary. New country, new language, new ways...I have been there so many times before. But the feeling never gets old. Feels like I am making the first step, being reborn again in a way and being at the mercy of It All. I wonder what it brings.
So off I go breaking free from the illusion of safety I have been dwelling in for the past two weeks...yes, 12 days in Canada too that I was away from the road all sums up to growing distant from it. Not too much, just a little bit.
What happens, happens. A Miracle brought me here, so I have to be here! Why? I`ll know later.
Mirza is a girl who works at the youth hostel. She helped me with some hitchhiking vocabulary in Spanish. Mirza once used to live on a pirate boat for a year, sailing. A greatest time of her life, she said."It is dangerous!" said Mirza when I told her about wanting to hitchhike in Mexico.
"So was sailing on a pirate boat," I replied.
"Yes", she said, "a price to pay for freedom."

A lot of congratulations for your learning of world trots. In order that a knowledge is "real" and significant it needs to pass for 5 senses. We wish the best of the successes you
