NAVARINO NEVERLAND

Neverland is an island where children never grow up, a land of fun, joy and happiness. Neverland is inhabited by Lost Boys, pirates, fairies and sirens. How to get there?  It is "Second to the right, and straight on till morning”, you can only reach Neverland by flying. You cannot choose to come here, it is the Island that chooses you.

Could it be that Navarino, at the end of the world; in midst of thousands of islands, is the Neverland Scottish writer James M. Barrie spoke of?

Thank you for allowing me to follow you and see your good-bye present. The road was difficult in the beginning, dangerous in parts, yet always fun  - remember that in Neverland there exist nothing but  joy and happiness.

Curiously so you chose to climb the Face of The Inidian, after your work with the Yagan community was done. And interestingly so, it was Popi whom you asked and he told us which way to go. It took him just five minutes, what we climbed all day. I was surprised to how clear his explanation was to describe that Impossible trail, so that we would not get lost.

You walked retelling stories of the stories you had heard, of the Yagan people you had met, their lives before and after the Changes. We climbed beyond “the Face of the Indian”, to the very top of the Little Pyramid, from where we saw how deep the Hidden Valley was. Other mountains were left below, and we could see the other end of the island. When we sat to eat lunch, a cloud rose from the Valley. As we stood up to leave, the cloud vanished. It was hungry, we supposed, and had come to have lunch with us.
