METAMORPHOSIS

Today the Chilean Antarctic Government gave me a temporary work permit.  I have applied for residency in Chile and signed six copies of a contract with the Cape Horn Municipality to run it´s tourist office. Without these papers I would have had to leave Chile by the end of January for good.

Thank you Family for doing all that paperwork. Just to summarize, leaving out many details:

1. My university papers had to be approved by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
2. Then they were sent to Cape Horn, Chile
3. After that they were sent to Santiago, and were lost and found and sent back to Cape Horn - they were missing a signature from the Chilean Consul in Estonia.
4. Having received them we sent them to Finland to be legalized by the Chilean Consul closest to Estonia
5. My brother went to Helsinki to get them from the consulate
6. and sent them back to Chile again
7....and then just one week before my time in the country would have been up, they arrived here by DHL.

Everything else was fairly quick.  Perhaps these papers wanted to travel the world as well?

This is a 9 minute film about a Metamorphosis of a Dragonfly: "Die Verwandlung der Libelle" (Germany 1935) by Herbert Raschke.  A symbolic film about a big change.

Hola Carina.
