The full moon and the white of the snow lit up the path.
We almost did not have to use our headlights.
It was my first winter hike to the place - I knew the path, but could not recognize the waterfall:
The green wall of moss had become a crystal cove, the grey rocks of the river were now covered with a white glaze of ice. As I tried to remember every detail, Marcin took a photo:

"Too bad I´m leaving tomorrow," said Marcin.
I smiled. To me it made perfect sense.
"Thank you for taking me," said Marcin.
"Thank you for taking me," I replied.
Just as the other times, accompanying the one who was leaving, I witnessed the present the island was giving him.
